Danielle Steel new book Legacy

Hubby brought me an ereader this past Monday. Can't believe I actually read this book in 2 days. Really loving the ereader and how easy it is to use.
Legacy is a story about a family searching their family roots. Went back to France from the USA and found the link to a Sioux ggggrandmother. Very good read and actually was disappointed it ended so quickly. Could of added a lot more to the story but I guess the rest is left to the imagination.
Would recommend it in a heart beat.

GoldStar doily

Love this doily and it measures 20 inches across the centre.
Makes for a beautiful centerpiece on my dining room table.
Was made with Cleo #10 and hook size 1.40mm.
Will probably make another one for a gift.

Hope you like it and please feel free to leave a comment.
Always nice to hear what others think.

Thank you for looking at my blog.
Blessings for a wonderful year of knitting and crocheting.

Berry Season socks #13/26

Finished my 13th pair of socks for the 26ppI sock challenge.
Probably won't be able to make all 26 pairs this year as too busy with crocheting doilies. But the ones I have made and finished were fun to do.

Best Friends Forever Arlette Doily

Designed a new doily in remembrance of my sister Arlette.
We were like 2 peas in a pod and were best friends for ever. I lost my twin at birth so very thankful I had 3 older sisters. 1 Younger brother and the 3 of us were always together. Now I am the only one of us 3 left but very thankful that I do have 2 older sisters.
Lost my sister Arlette at the tender age of 50. She was 51 and died much to soon.
Love you forever my sister, friend Arlette you will always be.

New socks finished Jan/Feb 2011

I just love the picture on my home page. Youngest grandson playing in the snow.
They had a flash snowstorm that only lasted a couple of days but oh what fun they had.
Have been very busy working on learning new crochet stitches and of course designing my own sock patterns. Making socks are my first love but sometimes do need a break so will do some crocheting. Have been enjoying my time spend crocheting and so many beautiful patterns to choose from. I will never live long enough to do everything I have put in my que to make just on Ravelry alone.
If you haven't jointed Ravelry yet I advise you too. It is really a lot of fun and just amazing all the beautiful designs there.
Here are a few more pictures of socks I have been making.
Socks 1 & 2 are The St. Briget Sock pattern available through Ravelry
3. I my own Cable sock pattern
4. are of my Leafy Moss Cable pattern which I will be posting on Ravelry soon.
Am working on a second pair from the same pattern while testing the pattern again.
